2025 Program Schedule
Summer: June 18 & 25, July 16 & 23 Registration Opens April 15
Cost:
$115 adult / child pair | $85 additional child
All sessions meet 10-11:30am.
Young children, ages 3-5 years old, with an adult, will explore the natural world through a series of topics lead by an Owl's Hill Environmental Educator. Each week has a different focus emphasizing working together through discovery, crafts, and outdoor exploration.
No strollers or unregistered siblings, please. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Fees are per adult/child pair for one 4- or 6-week series (spring, summer, or fall).
Summer Topics
June 18 | Bug Safari
Learn about Tennessee's smallest wildlife and the important jobs they have in the forest.
June 25 | I Like the Night Life
What animals come out at night? Discover the adaptations that help our nocturnal animals survive.
July 16 | Tree-Mendous!
Who loves trees? We do...and so do the animals that rely on them for food and shelter. Learn about leaves, roots, branches and more.
July 23 | Critters in the Creek
All animals need water to survive. Find out who visits our creek and who calls it home. Wear shoes that can get wet while we go on a creek adventure!
GENERAL INFORMATION:
- To protect wildlife, pets are not permitted in the sanctuary.
- Please stay home if you are not feeling well or were recently exposed to someone with a respiratory illness.
- Our outdoor portable toilets each have hand sanitizers inside.
- Please bring a refillable water bottle. We do not have a public water fountain.
- Insect repellant and sunscreen is highly recommended.
- Prices subject to change.
REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY:
- REFUND POLICY: There are no refunds for Knee-High Naturalist classes. If you cannot attend, however, you may transfer your registration to a friend, colleague, or family member by calling us in advance of the scheduled class at 615-370-4672.
- CANCELLATION: Classes are rain or shine. We will, however, cancel class if Williamson County is under a severe weather warning issued by the National Weather Service. Participants will be notified of cancellations by email. In the event a program is cancelled, you will receive a credit (valid for 60 days) toward a future class or Day Passes.
