Julie Eperjesi

Director of Education

Julie has loved teaching people about flora and fauna her whole life and decided to make a career of it. After going back to school to earn a B.S. in Recreation Administration and Program Management from Illinois State University, she had the best of both worlds working part time as a Naturalist at Wildlife Prairie State Park and as a Zoo keeper at Glen Oak Zoo. Julie moved to Nashville in 2004 and became the Onsite Programs Manager at the Nashville Zoo. For over 10 years she taught people of all ages in various programming about animals. She started at Owl’s Hill in March 2015 and is excited to educate people about the importance of conservation, to teach about native plants and animals of Tennessee and to increase their knowledge of the world around them.
