Private Events

The primary use of Owl’s Hill facilities includes school programs, public programs and meetings and activities associated with its operations.


Occasionally, areas of OHNS may be available to individuals, corporations and community organizations for private events.

Hours

 

OHNS is open to the public Monday – Saturday from 8:30 am until 3 pm. Consequently, we cannot schedule private events during these hours. Events often begin at 5 pm or shortly thereafter, with setup and deliveries beginning at 3 pm. Events must end by 10 pm and cleanup must be completed by 11 pm.

 

Inquiries and Booking

Capacity

 

We can accommodate 150 guests or less. Capacity limits are subject to change. 


Fees

 

Rental fees are not tax-deductible but do support our environmental education and conservation initiatives.

 

Three-hour minimum. After-hours venue rental: $400/hr (Friday & Saturday)  |  $300/hr (Tues, Wed, Thur).

 

Reservations and Payment of Fees

 

A reservation is confirmed and placed on the calendar with the receipt of a signed agreement, the Scheduling Deposit (50 percent of the rental fee), and payment of a separate refundable Security Deposit (if required). The remainder of all rental and other fees must be received no later than 14 calendar days prior to the event. Reserved rental hours must be consecutive and include the time necessary to set-up, decorate, break down and load-out. The reservation hours will be strictly enforced. Payment for any unused portion of time will not be refunded. Additional fees apply if load-out time extends beyond scheduled use time. A partial hour will be considered as a whole hour in determining the additional fees.

 


Staffing

 

The client must provide necessary staff to meet deliveries, set-up event, oversee event and clean-up event. An OHNS representative will be on-site during the entire event to protect the premises, answer questions and monitor the event.

 

Parking

 

Parking is available in our gravel lot. Parking capacity is 60 vehicles. For larger groups, the use of ridesharing services and car-pooling is strongly encouraged. OHNS is not responsible for theft or damage to vehicles or vehicle contents while on the premises.

 

Setup/Decorations/Cleanup

 

  • Owl’s Hill will furnish a clean, useable site that should be returned in the same condition in which it is was found. Client is responsible for ensuring complete clean up after the event.
  • Decorations, signs, banners, etc. may not be nailed, stapled or otherwise fastened to OHNS property. No holes may be drilled, cored or punched in any OHNS facility. The use of adhesives is not permitted.

 

Overnight Storage

 

Owl’s Hill has extremely limited storage space for events so be prepared to bring everything you will need the day of your event (not the day before). Owl’s Hill may be able to store a limited number of items for pick-up the next day, for an additional fee.
