2009 Scout Programs 2010
|
Owl's Hill works with scouts to enhance their nature studies and help them earn nature & environmental badges. Badge programs lead to immediate completion of specific badge requirements. Environmental Enrichment programs and Special Event programs fulfill partial requirements for badges. Where possible, we will tailor Badge and Enrichment programs to your needs, if you request it at the time of your reservation.

Scouts at the Earth Day Celebration make a terrarium.
RESERVATIONS: Individual troop visits for Badge or Environmental Enrichment programs are scheduled weekdays from September through May. Reserve a space with the Scout Program Request Form, or by phone: 615-370-4672. Choose a morning, early afternoon or after school time. Programs last 1 - 2 hours; ending by 6 PM. (Due to the early twilight, some of these programs may not be available "after school" between November 1 and January 15 unless scouts can arrive by 3 pm.)
Badge and Enrichment registrations are acknowledged by a leader's packet containing additional information about your visit. Please read it carefully and follow the instructions.
Register for Special Events on-line or by phone: 615-370-4672. Special Events are not acknowledged with a reservation packet. Your ticket is your cancelled check or printed on-line registration receipt.
Credit card registrations may be called in or completed on-line. Please send checks or deliver cash to:

FEES and REFUNDS: All scout program fees are pre-paid. If you register for a Badge or Enrichment program, the leader's packet will contain an invoice. Please note the due date for your payment as failure to pay this on time may result in the loss of your reservation or preferred date. Your payment is refundable only in the event of severe weather. For individual troop visits, if we are notified in advance, we will work with you to reschedule should you need to cancel for other reasons . Cancellations without advance notification are not eligible for rescheduling or refund under any circumstances. Payments cannot be carried over from one program year to the next; for accounting purposes, we consider the program year to run from August through May.
Payments for Special Events are non-refundable and non-transferable unless Owl’s Hill cancels the event. People arriving at the gate without a reservation will be charged the Gate Fee, listed with program descriptions.
CHAPERONES: Adult chaperones are welcome at Owl's Hill. When choosing chaperones, keep in mind that our insurance does not allow tag-a-longs of any age, including babies, for Badge or Enrichment programs. Most Special Events are open to all ages; any restrictions are listed in the program description on the Family Program page.

Appropriate for scouts earning the Skills Patch. This program lasts 1 1/2 hours.

This program lasts 1 1/2 hours.
