2008 Home School Programs 2009
|

Hunting for salamanders.
For nearly two decades, Owl's Hill has provided educational nature and environmental programs for students of all ages throughout the Middle Tennessee area During this time, we have hosted numerous home school students and look forward to increasing our services to this segment of the educational system.
For the 2008-2009 school year, four days have been designated as Home School Days. The programs on these days are designed for mixed ages, and are not subject to our usual minimum group fee, giving families and small groups access to more programs. Morning programs may be followed by lunch or a snack in our orchard picnic area at no additional charge; however, since we do not have trash pick-up service, you must remove all your own trash. As with all of our school and scout programs, our insurance does not allow children under 4, including babies, for our Home School Days. Please arrange a babysitter for these younger family members.
In addition to Home School Days, we offer public programs throughout the year which are suitable for families or groups. Again, there is no minimum fee; the charge is per/person. These programs are listed on the Family Programs page of this website, in our Public Program brochures and in our Home School Program brochure. Some are Mommy and Me programs which allow children as young as 3; others are open to all ages.
Home school groups are welcome to register for education programs not offered as a Home School Days as long as the group is the appropriate age for the program. There is a minimum fee of $75/group payable in advance. Programs offered as Home School Days may not be available.
