These programs are open to families, groups, and individuals. Age suitablilty  and group size limitations vary by program.  Unless otherwise stated, children two and under are free.  All programs are filled on a first come, first served basis determined by date of payment.  All require non-refundable pre-paid reservations.   Credit card payment can be completed on-line or by phone.  Checks should be mailed to:

President's Day Hike!
Monday, February 15, 2010; 1-2:30 pm
Cost: $7/person in advance; $10/person at the gate

Dress in patriotic colors and participate in a winter hike to our Big Trees - trees that were growing long before George Washington was born!  Examine dry-stacked stone walls built about the time Washington was inaugurated.  A prize for any child who can recite the first sentence of Lincoln's Gettysburg Address!

St Patrick's Day Go Green! Hike
March 17, 2010; 4 - 5:30 pm
Cost: $7/person in advance
; $10/person at the gate
(two and under free)

Wear your green while we search for green on this almost-spring hike.  Prizes will be awarded to the person wearing the most green and the person wearing the most shades of green.  We have no shamrocks at Owl's Hill, but we will search for four-leaf clovers and look for other early emerging plants and signs of spring.

Find the Bunny Hike!
Friday, April 2, 2010; 10-11:30 am
Cost: $7/person in advance
; $10/person at the gate (two and under free)


Wear you own creation of an outdoor "Easter Bonnet"  and help us search for bunnies and other creatures in the meadow and orchard.  Will we find eggs?  Eggs with Prizes?  A prize will be given for the most creative adult Bonnet and the most creative child's Bonnet.  Bring some carrots or bits of broccoli to scatter for our furry, cotton-tailed friends!

An Introduction to Falconry: Hunting with Birds of Prey
Saturday, April 17, 2010; 1 pm
Cost: $10/person in advance; $15/person at the gate

Falconry is the only sport in America that uses a trained wild creature for hunting. It presents huge challenges and enormous commitment, but can be equally rewarding and exhilarating.  Come and meet local General falconer, Jim Primus and his beautiful and talented birds as he introduces us to this ancient sport.

Cost: $8/person, minimum $50.00, limit 12 people.
Available on a limited basis; call early to schedule.
