Groundhog Celebration How many North American animals have a holiday all to themselves? Only the humble Groundhog, weather prognosticator extraordinaire! Prepare to celebrate this child friendly holiday by attending this celebration at Owl’s Hill. The event will include a burrow search, stories in the Owl’s Hill People Burrow and Groundhog games and crafts. Take home a chart to check the furry weather person's predictions! Presidents' Day Big Tree Hike Dress in patriotic colors and participate in a winter hike to our Big Trees – trees that were growing long before George Washington was born! Then head down hill to the creek to see stone walls built just after the Revolutionary War. Finish with a sip of hot cider in the Russell Gathering Pavilion. Prints of drawings of the Big Trees by Charles Brindley are for sale in the Gift Shop. REGISTER |

St. Patrick's Day Celebration: Go Green Hike! Wear your green while we search for green on this almost-spring hike. We have no shamrocks at Owl's Hill, but we will search for four-leaf clovers and look for early emerging plants, green frogs and other signs of spring. Fun for the whole family. REGISTER |
