Registration

The Sanctuary is open by reservation only.

Education programs can be requested on-line or by phone (615-370-4672).

Reservations are confirmed with an e-mailed invoice and information packet. This can also be mailed.

Ideal group size varies by program. Check grade level listings or contact the Sanctuary for details.

Classes of more than 25 may be divided to enhance student learning.

Pricing

Program cost is per person and listed with class description; teachers and paid school employees are free.

Chaperones are welcome at all programs; the fee is the same as for students

Tag-a-longs, including babies, are not allowed for insurance reasons.

A deposit is required in advance. The balance is due on arrival the day of the program.

Deposit is refunded only in the event of school closing or severe weather.

If cancellation is necessary for other reasons, we will reschedule the program if notified 24 hours in advance.

Except for Autumn Nature Adventure, deposits can be applied to any other program during the school year.

Rescheduled programs are not eligible for a refund under any circumstances.

Picnics

Schedule a picnic following your program at no additional cost.

We have picnic tables; large groups should supplement seating with picnic blankets.

Picnic time is 30 minutes.

Fort Cedar is available for use during your picnic

Collect your trash and take it away with you. We have no trash collection service.

Straws in cellophane wrappers are not allowed as the wrappers pose an often fatal attraction to wildlife.

Home School Programs

Home school groups may register for any of our education programs

Minimum program fee is $75/group; per person fee applies.

Home School Days are also available. These require no minimum fee.
