Home School Programs

For two decades, Owl's Hill has provided educational nature and environmental programs for students of all ages throughout the Middle Tennessee area During this time, we have hosted numerous home school students and look forward to increasing our services to this segment of the educational system.

Groups of home school students are welcome to register for programs offered as school programs as long as the group is the appropriate age for the program.   There is a minimum fee of $50/group and the program per person fee applies.   All fees must be paid in advance. Morning programs may be followed by lunch or a snack in our orchard picnic area at no additional charge;  however, since we do not have trash pick-up service, you must remove all your own trash. 

If you are bringing babies or children in strollers, be aware that our trails are not designed for these vehicles; your child will have to walk or be carried.  We also assume that you will remove a fussy child from the teaching area.

In addition , we offer Special Events throughout the year which are suitable for  families or groups. For these programs, there is no minimum fee; the charge is per/person. These programs are listed on the Family Programs and Knee High Naturalist pages of this website and  in our Newsletter.  Many of these programs are open to all ages; some have age restrictions. Please check the listings carefully. Some of these upcoming programs are:

• Knee High Naturalist Series (children age 3-5 with an adult)
• Children's Drawing Class (ages 9-12) - April 20
• Fairyland Spring Opening - April 21
• Summer Camps - June through July
