Summer Camp

REGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR SUMMER CAMP 2017!!

Summer camp provides rewarding opportunities for campers to learn about wildlife, nature, and the environment in a natural setting through games, hikes, exploration, crafts and live animal programs. 
 
Camp is limited in size so each child receives individual attention. A camp shirt and water bottle is included. A morning snack is provided and campers bring a lunch Monday-Thursday. All camps conclude on Friday with a kosher hotdog lunch, ice cream dessert and water games.  Animal Caretaker camp does NOT provide lunch.
 
  • Campers must be 5 when camp begins AND entering kindergarten in the fall of 2017.
  • Space in camps is assigned on a first come, first served basis by date of payment.
  • If you are interested in a camp that is full, you may e-mail us to be put on a waiting list. There is no fee for the waiting list.
  • Camp registration is not complete until the information form is on file.
 
CANCELLATIONS AND CHANGES
Cancellations, substitutions and session changes may be made free of charge through March 31. Between March 31 and May 15 there is a 20% fee for cancellations and changes. No refunds are available after May 15.

Ages 5-7

Half - Day Camp

This half day camp engages children in sensory-based adventures, live animal presentations,crafts, finding critters, short nature hikes and much more! 

Dates:  June 26 - 30
 
Time:   9:00 am – 1:00 pm
 
Cost:   $240/session ($220 before March 1)
Includes camp shirt, water bottle, daily snack and Friday lunch.

NATURE RANGER CAMP
 
Ages 5 - 11
Campers will blaze trails, find animals and search for special places. Make a hiking stick and discover a different part of Owl's Hill each day. Learn about the animals that call this special place "home". Guest speakers visit and introduce new animal friends. On Fridays, campers hike up South Ridge for a bird's eye view of the land. 
 
Dates: Nature Ranger 1   June 5-9
            Nature Ranger 2   June 19-23
            Nature Ranger 3   July 17-21    Session 3 is Full
 
Times: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
 
Cost: $270/session ($250 before March 1)
Includes camp shirt, water bottle, daily snack and Friday lunch. Extended care from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm available for an additional $40 a camper/session

NATURE ADVENTURE CAMP
 
Ages 5-11
Become a Nature Detective! Find and observe turtles, snakes, fish, frogs, birds, mammals and insects in their native habitat. Campers will use their detective skills to look under logs, in trees, in the creek and meadows. Guest speakers will share their expertise in tracking and finding animals. On Fridays, campers hike up South Ridge for a bird's eye view of the land. 
 
Dates: Nature Adventure 1   June 12-16
            Nature Adventure 2   July 10-14  Session 2 is FULL
            Nature Adventure 3   July 24-28
 
Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

ANIMAL CARETAKER CAMP - CAMP IS FULL
 
Ages 12-18
Love animals? This is the camp designed for you. Campers will learn about the rewarding career of being an Animal Caretaker at Owl's Hill. Visit with scientific professionals to discover animal related careers. Conduct experiments, track wildlife, explore the creek, handle educational animals and more. Camp is limited to 6 participants! JR. NATURALIST CAMP
 
Ages 12-18
Campers will become Junior Naturalists as they learn about the natural world of Tennessee. Go on mini-safaris every day to find, catch and examine wild creatures. Learn about trees, plants and conservation issues. Through hands-on activities campers will learn responsible environmental stewardship and how to make a difference through citizen science projects.
 
Dates:  July 6 & 7
 
Time:   9:00 am-3:00 pm
 
Cost:    $200/session ($175 before March 1)
Includes camp shirt, Owl’s Hill patch, water bottle, daily snack and Friday lunch.
